The SAMExperience partners are thrilled to announce that the date for the final conference will be announced soon. The event will be held in September 2026 in Bilbao.

The project coordinator, the University of Mondragon, together with the communication coordinator, the University of Foggia, and the project manager Resolvo, have begun working on the draft structure of the event.

How should a final project conference be organised?

Many options have been shared between the three partners mentioned above. We have begun to define a shared planning agenda, identifying key areas of work that allow to define cross-cutting themes, such as:

  • Academic content: speakers, conference agenda and general academic issues of the conference.
  • Logistics: venue, catering, coordination with hotels and project visits.
  • Promotion and communication: dissemination on social media, internal dissemination within the consortium, online registration, promotional material (videos, interviews, case study).

As a result, the Bilbao 2026 final conference will be a three-day event combining academic, practical and creative dimensions.

The event will open with a webinar aimed at industrial and institutional stakeholders, followed by a main conference with keynote speeches, panels, flash talks and interactive workshops. During the event, participants will be involved in co-creation activities, including a visual roadmap and a shared learning manifesto, while sustainability will be integrated through digital participation, eco-friendly catering and green mobility. On the last day, there will be an internal meeting of the partners and a tour to showcase Bilbao’s sustainable transformation.

The consortium will analyse the many ideas and agree on the best way to proceed. Stay tuned for the next steps, the dates will be published on the project website!
