On 27–28 May 2026, the Department of Economics at the University of Foggia hosted the 4th in person  meeting of the Erasmus+ SAMExperience project.

The meeting provided an important opportunity to discuss the results achieved, the activities carried out, and future perspectives related to sustainable management education and European cooperation. Among the project’s main achievements is the development of the SAMExperience digital e-learning platform, a tool that provides students, recent graduates, researchers, and stakeholders with access to international content on sustainability, collaborative skills, and managerial innovation.

The event also saw the active participation of Area Nuova, the student association of the University of Foggia involved in the SAMExperience project as an associated partner. The association played a key role in disseminating the project’s results and promoting the SAMExperience digital e-learning platform developed during the project, encouraging students to explore and make use of a tool designed to enhance their knowledge and skills in sustainability, collaboration, and managerial innovation.

The Strategic Connection Between Area Nuova – SAMExperience:

There is a fundamental question that challenges the modern academic journey:

  • How does theoretical knowledge transform into tangible professional value?

All too often, higher education provides students with a detailed map of concepts, yet lacks the practical field training required to navigate today’s rapidly changing industries. Recognising this gap, Area Nuova has taken the strategic initiative to facilitate a direct connection between the University of Foggia community and the SamExperience project. The association played a key role in disseminating project results and promoting the e-learning digital platform. Furthermore, during the in-person meeting, Area Nuova actively participated as a key protagonist, giving voice to the feedback of the students who had begun the course.

Through this connection, Area Nuova acts as a strategic catalyst, embedding SamExperience’s innovative framework directly within UNIFG’s academic ecosystem.

This integration is further strengthened by ongoing collaboration with UniFG members already working within the SamExperience team. This synergy ensures that the real-world needs of the student body align seamlessly with professional training modules focused on digital and green transitions.

Ultimately, this initiative challenges the academic community to address a critical question:

  • Should higher education be a passive transition or a proactive phase of professional development?

By establishing this bridge with SamExperience, a concrete pathway has been created to enhance the value of the UniFG educational experience, connecting the local university environment with broader European professional standards.
