And after 3 years of work this dream has become real. Enpresagintza Fakultatea/Facultad de Empresariales – Mondragon Unibertsitatea has had the pleasure of hosting the Final Conference of the SAMExperience Project where we have shared the results of our work with partners, students and SME´s that, during this time, have helped us to reach our goal: identify, evaluate and develop the competences of the Sustainable Alliance Manager of the future to respond to the needs of the SME´s in Europe.
During the 23rd and 24th of September, we have been working with different stakeholders, not only to present the results of our project, but also to know their different points of view, needs and experience about sustainable strategic alliances with the aim of enrich it. The conference represented a valuable opportunity for partners to share knowledge and exchange insights, while presenting and discussing the scientific results achieved throughout the SAMExperience project. These included the development of the e-learning platform and the insights gained into the SAM profile and its role from a managerial perspective.
After the official welcome made by Eduardo Castellano Fernández, MIK Research Centre Executive Director and MU Faculty of Business Sciences R+D+i Director, Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation- LEINN students gave us the perspective of the future of job to make more attractive our learning platform.
Ainhoa San Juan Ibinarriaga from Aclima, Basque Environment Cluster, shared with us the result of the research and the work that they are doing in the Green Observatory. Elene Okamika, from MIK Research Centre talked about “Green jobs and skills development for an ecological, sustainable and just transition, with a focus on gender equality”, a local project developed in the Basque Country. Javier Pérez Izal, from Embega, one of the companies that took part in our research, explained us how alliances helped transform Embega in an open, innovative, and connected organization. Finally, Bego Maite Jiménez from Enkarterri Group, Business Association from the area of Encartaciones in Biscay, gave us the vision of the sustainability and the Business Management to improve the competitiveness of businesses. She also explained us the project E-Green Label that certifies Green jobs and skills development for an ecological, sustainable and just transition, with a particular focus on gender equality.
To conclude, we discussed the future, were talking about the future taking inspiration from the transformation of the city of Bilbao. Because, although it may seem that this is the end, we can confirm that this sustainable alliance will continue: we have a new dream!
