As the SAMExperience project comes to an end after three years of collaboration, the final months have been characterised by a series of local events organised by the project partners across Europe.
These initiatives represented an important final step in the SAMExperience journey: they provided opportunities to present the results, outputs and knowledge developed throughout the three years of the project, while bringing the project’s experience closer to local academic, institutional and business communities. From skills development and the SAM profile to learning resources, sustainable alliance management and new approaches to cooperation, the events allowed partners to share the outcomes of the work carried out within the project and to discuss their potential application in different local and regional contexts.
- Sharing project results through European and local networks:
The series of events began with the SYNERGY Seminar – EU Projects, hosted by the University of Foggia on 18 May 2026 within the framework of the POLIRURALPLUS cross-fertilisation activities. The seminar, participated by different SMEs, brought together experiences and results from different European projects, including SAMExperience, INTERESH and COREnet, creating an opportunity for cross-project exchange. SAMExperience was presented as an example of how European cooperation can contribute to the development of new skills, knowledge and collaborative approaches for sustainable transformation.
On 11 June 2026, the University of Economics in Katowice contributed to the conference “Trójkąt Transformacji – Social, Economic and Financial Aspects of Change in Silesia”. The event addressed the challenges of the green and energy transition in Silesia, with particular attention to skills gaps, SMEs, workforce development, sustainable investment and cooperation between businesses, public institutions and academia. The SAMExperience results provided a relevant perspective within this discussion, highlighting the importance of skills and strategic alliances in supporting organisations and territories facing complex processes of transformation.
- Bringing the SAMExperience results to students and academic communities:
The dissemination activities continued in Timișoara, Romania, on 16 September 2026, where the West University of Timișoara organised the SAMExperience Dissemination Event “Skills and Alliances for Sustainable Transformation”, within the framework of SYNASC 2026. The event offered an opportunity to present the main project results and outputs developed over the three-year project, including the learning resources and approaches developed to strengthen skills for sustainable transformation. It also represented an important opportunity to engage with the academic community and discuss how the knowledge generated by SAMExperience can be further used beyond the project lifetime.
A similar final dissemination event was organised by Lithuania Business College on 29 September 2026, under the title “Skills and Alliances for Sustainable Transformation”. The event focused on sharing the project’s achievements, practical resources and good practices, while creating a space for discussion on how the results developed by the partnership can continue to support skills development and sustainable collaboration.
- From the Final Conference to local impact: Bilbao
A particularly significant moment took place in Bilbao, Spain, on 23 September 2026, during the SAMExperience Final Conference, which marked the conclusion of the three-year project. The conference, organised by the Mondragon University, brought together the project partners and stakeholders to reflect on the work carried out since the beginning of SAMExperience and to present the results and achievements developed throughout the project. The event was not limited to the presentation of project outcomes. In the afternoon session, local companies and organisations were invited to take part in the discussions, creating a direct link between the project’s results and the local business community. This was an important step in the project’s dissemination and impact strategy. By engaging local companies, the partnership had the opportunity to share the knowledge, tools and approaches developed during the three years of SAMExperience with potential end-users, while also listening to the needs, experiences and perspectives of organisations operating in the local context. The involvement of local businesses therefore transformed the Final Conference into more than a closing event: it became an opportunity for knowledge transfer, dialogue and potential future cooperation, helping to ensure that the project’s results can continue to generate value beyond the formal end of the project.
Taken together, all these local events represent the final stage of a three-year European journey built around knowledge exchange, skills development and sustainable alliances. The combination of academic dissemination, cross-project exchange and direct engagement with local companies reflects the broader ambition of SAMExperience: to ensure that the knowledge and resources developed through European cooperation do not remain within the partnership, but reach the communities, organisations and stakeholders that can benefit from them.
As the project concludes, the results developed over these three years provide a foundation for continued learning, collaboration and sustainable transformation, while the networks and alliances created throughout the project offer opportunities for future cooperation across Europe.
